The Broker - What It Is
TabTrade.com opened in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.
That last detail tells you something. It suggests the founder has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. Still better than a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys did the opposite. Interesting choice.
The instrument list: forex, indices, gold, silver, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For something that launched in March 2026, the breadth is broad.
What You Trade On
Available: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the default. Full charting, automated trading, huge user base. If you have used MT4 or MT5 before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders find it more natural after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for algo traders but requires the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is said to be on the roadmap. That should be a good addition when it lands.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Straightforward. $0 to start. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. Meaning your actual cost per trade can be under half a pip. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, faster fills, custom pricing. Not for typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.
Execution Speed
The speed is the area where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run 100ms to 300ms.
Should you care? For short-term trading, yes. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. The point is the infrastructure is there. That says something about priorities.
Pair that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package makes sense. Hardly anyone at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
Regulation
Here is the detail you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Lots of FCA-regulated options out there.
However. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for Equinix connectivity. This does not make it safe. It does be part of your assessment.
What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether this deal is worth it comes down to your priorities.
